Hi Everyone,

So, since I’m always doing things, in Yorkshire, I thought I’d start a new feature within my blog called “Things To do in Yorkshire”. Fitting eh? If you like the look of my photography, you can follow it here.

First up is Brimham Rocks! Here are some facts for you:

  • Brimham rocks are balancing rock formations that are up to 30m high
  • For the able and unafraid, you can climb to the top for outstanding views of the moors
  • There is no admission fee
  • Parking is £5 for 4 hours or £6 for all day is pay and display which you’ll need in coins (I definitely forgot about this and had to ride to the next village of Pately Bridge to draw some cash out)
  • The rocks are owned by the national trust and sit in an ‘area of outstanding beauty’
  • Beautiful on sunny days, I was so lucky(!), but no barbecues are allowed so that no damage comes to the wildlife
  • You can listen for owls at dusk
  • There are both picnic tables and a kiosk for food, drink and souvenirs
  • You can climb through a circular rock formation called ‘The Smartie Tube’

Please do comment below if you’ve been before & share your experiences,

Hopefully you’ll look out for my next “Things to do in Yorkshire” post,
