Very excited to be introducing you to, not only a very talented surface designer, but a designer who is:
a) passionate about good quality products made in YORKSHIRE would you believe.
b) making a brilliant and successful DEBUT and
c) FROM LEEDS… yay! Welcome to Anthony Hughes Est. 2013.
One thing I particularly love about this collection is the use of geometry; there’s a sort of peacefulness to the way patterns look and repeat. Anthony took his inspiration from an industrial environment; a walk by the canal in Huddersfield influenced the use of pylons and gas pipelines. This, I have to say, I am a big fan of.
I would be extremely excited to have these pieces as part of my living space, alongside vast areas of brilliant white or mid greys as photographed. This would balance the busy patterns and bright yellows within the designs, with the tranquility of calmer tones in a nice 80/20 percentage ratio.
Take a look and please do comment below to let me know which is your favourite piece of the Anthony Hughes “Industrious Living” collection! Is it the fabrics printed in Scotland, the wallpapers printed in Cheshire or the cushions… made in Yorkshire?
Thank you for reading,
